Most of us, if we had to take a Christian ethics exam, would pass easily.  Yet, when faced with daily temptations and passions, we often fail and fall because we’re conflicted between what we should do and what we want to do.

We’re all guilty of having friendship with the world, putting our desires and our wants above that which God commands us to do…in fact, the reality for most “Christians” is when it comes time for Bible study and prayer, we usually give God our leftover time.

We often forget that God calls us to a greater yearning, a greater calling, one that is much more important and more lasting than any temptations we face in this world.

Remember that Jesus died the most brutal death imaginable simply to reconcile us to God, even though we didn’t deserve it.  This basic but incredibly important fact should humble us daily and help keep our focus, not on the worldly, but on the heavenly.

Take a moment & thank the Lord for His amazing grace and ask Him to help you to live a life that glorifies Him & to show you what is of this world & what is of His will!
